3.5 : WITH SINGLE DOOR SCREENS, USE OF THE C-SIDE PROFILE IS OPTIONAL AND CAN BE ELIMINATED IF IT INTERFERES WITH THE DOOR HANDLE OR AESTHETICS OF THE DOOR. Drill 1/8”(3mm) pilot holes at 3”(76mm) in from either end of the C-Side Profile. Drill two more holes evenly spaced between. Attach the C-Side Profile to the opposite side of the door jambClose door until latchbolt touches jamb. From outside of door, mark latchbolt on jamb with a pencil. (FIG.9) Mark hole location on jamb in the center of 2 adjustable slots and drill 3/32” pilot holes at marked locations. Then tighten with #8x7/16” screws. 4 Attach Storm Door to Door Frame. 4a. Slide rail extender (marked with “L”) into the bottom of the hinge rail. 4b. Hang storm door onto door frame using the placeholder screw. The door will settle approx. 1/16-in down. Tighten screw while pushing top of hinge rail tight against the door frame. Using 5/16" drill bit, bore the three holes from each side of door. Remove template. LATCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. 1. If not pre-assembled, insert handle into handle housing (Fig 2). 2. Place spring onto spindle, as shown, and insert into handle assembly (Fig 3). 3. Push this assembly through drilled holes from the outside of door (Fig 4).Record your measurements and take them to your nearest LARSON dealer. Measure the opening width (horizontally) as shown below. Take three measurements, one across the top, middle and bottom of the door (A, B, C). Record the narrowest dimension. Measure the opening height (vertically). Record the shortest dimension.
