Mar 29, 2016 · The Uchigatana is a powerful katana found in the early areas of Dark Souls 3. It is a katana-styled weapon that features a bleeding effect, however it does offer low durability. So I’m started dark souls yesterday and I’ve been playing nearly constantly. It’s epic. I’ve got the uchigatana upgraded to +5, since that is what I’ve read to do. But after that chaos, fire, raw damage etc is overwhelming and I don’t wanna do anything I’ll regret. At the moment I’m not look by for PvP, just complete the game. It has a godly moveset (that runnng r1) great dex scalling, good range, and the weapon art is realy good along with the bleeding effect. It is easy to get bleed resist, and bleed is the main reason to use uchigatana. Without landing bleed, the damage in general is pitiful. Having a lot of low damage hits is fine, if you can get them in. A scythe though gives you the ability to dish damage out over a larger range, even if the player uses a shield.
