I've lived in Santa Monica for over 30 years. We used to have power outages frequently, then there was a big explosion/fire or some type of event at the Lincoln/Colorado location. Power was out for (I think) nearly a day from that but whatever they fixed/replaced seemed to have corrected the problem because outages had become much more rare.
