The "unflippable" size is Pretty big. it's probably around 5x4 or so. GenerikB ( a youtuber who's currently doing a Lets Play) has a huge raft around 7x6 and it has flipped a few times. so it would take Alot of bases to make it unflippable. And a side note, the bigger the raft is, it will be harder to steer and turn.

You've probably got to break the pieces that are supported by your raft first, like the sails, rudder and anchor first. It's a bit of a pain but you get all the material back from destroying those items so you won't lose cloth or rocks. You can't make a water still, but you can add container shelves and bring water with you. Clay water bottles are good, hold 5 drinks each. You can use the coconut glitch to your advantage.
