The Security-9 is not a scaled down Ruger American 9mm, which would seem to be everyone’s first guess when the pistol was announced. The Security-9, rather, is a scaled up LCP or LC9 in most regards. The pistol shoots like a Security 9. It has the same action and the trigger is great (IMO). The sights are superb, and much better than on the security 9 models. The blacked out rear slight makes the glowing green front sight pop out. A nice thing was the pistol fits my DeSantis holsters that I bought for the Security 9 Compact. Took the bolt out of the receiver and polished all surfaces on it that touch any other metal during cycling. At the range, first ten rounds I put through my S9, the firing pin punches through a primer, and the little brass bits it ejected fouled it immobile. There was nothing I could do to convince it to fire after that.
