They have a tensile strength of 1600lbs with a working load of 320lbs. We offer 3 sizes of loops to accomodate variation in versa button size. The daisy chains for the larger versa button climbing sticks like the hawk helium and lone wolf will need 2.75" loops. For smaller versa buttons like the shikaror lone wolf custom gear will need 2" loops.Wrap the strap around the tree and then slide the closest adapting loop over the Versa button. At this point it should be attached to the tree and will be a bit loose. Pull out the top two steps and pull them down with some pretty good force to seat the legs into the tree and put tension on the strap.
