I was ready to check the purge canister by the gas tank and do whatever was needed to get the check engine light to turn off. Finally, I changed the PCV and the purge valve. Simple to access on the 2016 Hemi. Short the signal wire to the ground circuit, then see if the active code changes to a P018C. If it does that should mean the new sensor is bad too. If the active code remains the same, repair the signal wire, it is damaged between the sensor and PCM.
